The best of Italian and French wines “cheer" the wedding of the century.

Ivana Trump and her future husband Rossano Rubicondi, announced today the definitive wines that will be served at the POOLSIDE Dinner on April 11th, 2008 and at the formal Dinner for the Wedding, April 12th, 2008 at Mar-a-Lago Palm Beach, Florida.

The wines, one white and one red, will be Pinot Grigio Friuli DOC Aquileia 2006, Tenuta Ca’ Bolani, by Zonin Casa Vinicola and Villa Capezzana Carmignano DOCG 2004, by Tenuta di Capezzana, both Italian, just like the future husband.

“I chose these two wines” says Sommelier Alessandra Rotondi, the Wine Consultant appointed for the wedding “because theyare perfect for this wedding. Pinot Grigio Friuli DOC Aquileia 2006, Tenuta Ca’ Bolani, by Zonin has a delicately fruity bouquet, with outstanding finesse.It’s elegant, soft and well-structured, fruity on the palate, with remarkable freshness and a clean, persistent aftertaste.

Villa Capezzana Carmignano DOCG 2004, by Tenuta di Capezzana is a blend of Sangiovese (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), the formula of a great Supertuscan, ample, elegant, refined, fruity with spicy aromas and flavors. It’s elegant, well balanced with a long and persistent finish.

Both wines come from prestigious Italian families with a long outstanding tradition in producing fine wines”.

Indeed the wine list will not be only Italian. The big secret is still the Champagne chosen for the weddingcelebrations. That is still to be announced .
